A fire outbreak at the Universal Medical Clinic (Specialist Children Clinic) in Oke Ibukun Street, off Araromi area in Akure, the Ondo state capital has sadly claimed the life of its owner, Dr David Adetayo Oguntuase who was burnt beyond recognition yesterday December 25th.
According to reports, the fire started at about 12midnight and caught the Doctor unawares inside his office. One of the nurses who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the doctor came in yesterday morning and asked them to take the day off so they could spend some time with their family and instructed them to lock all the doors and windows of the hospital before they leave…
Some hours later, the hospital was on fire, and Dr Oguntuase was burnt to death. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. According to a nurse, no patient was in the hospital during the inferno as they had all been discharged due to the Christmas celebration
