In accordance with the government’s efforts to curb the spread of Ebola Virus, the directorate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2014 Batch B orientation program will last for between 1 to 2 days instead of the usual 21-day (3 Weeks) program.
The shortened program will take place between September 1st – 8th 2014.
Tribune reports that directive applies to the following states: Lagos, Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Osun, and Yobe.
The abridged orientation program means that corps members will miss out on some NYSC camp activities including parade, camp fire night, physical training, and other activities.

Shinji Kagawa has completed his return to Borussia Dortmund!
The Japanese international, who previously played for Dortmund from 2010 to 2012, before playing for Manchester United have just signed a four-year contract with the German champions Borussia Dortmund on Sunday after his previous club Manchester United gave permission for the transfer on Sunday evening.
He did not perform as Expected, Source Said.

Looks like members of Chris Oyakhilome's Christ Embassy church are divided over his split from his wife Anita who filed for divorce a few months ago on the grounds of 'unreasonable behaviour' and 'adultery'. On a Facebook page called 'Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome,’ some members are putting their pastors and church on blast...
Yesterday, one member wrote
"I am a Christ Embassy member. I hate one thing there: How can a pastor be walking together with a lady hand in hand, attending meetings and lodging in a hotel for days. My girlfriend travels with our branch pastor annually for PPCF which holds in Lagos. Only God knows.”
Another one wrote;

Meanwhile, the Christ Embassy has kept mum on the divorce case.
A woman, who picked Punch’s call to the Nigerian office of the church on Saturday, said she had no information to give on the matter. When asked to confirm if the divorce suit was true or not, she simply said, “I have no information to give on the matter.”
When another call was made to the church thorough another number, the respondent, who identified herself as Pastor Christabel, said the church had no information about the case. “No, we have no information on the matter,” she said.

Innocent Ujah Idibia popularly known as Tuface Idibia who lost his father last week after 2-years battle with cancer is still traumatized over his father’s death. A member of the family disclosed that the singer who was very close to his dad, Michael Agbo Idibia, is still in shock over his sudden demise.
The source said when the father was first diagnosed with cancer, the family ran up and down, spending millions just to save his life but he died anyway and Tuface Idibia has found it really hard to believe that his dad is gone. He is yet to come to terms with his father death, they simply say.
The family source said: “It all began two years ago when he came down with cancer. Ever since he has been in and out of hospital. The family spent millions looking for a cure but all was to no avail. He fought a brave battle but The Lord gives and the Lord takes, he finally passed away last week and now Tuface is traumatised; he is yet to come to terms with the fact that his dad is dead because they shared a very close relationship.”
Tuface while speaking to close friends said: “We have done our best, now life continues. I am going to miss dad for a long time to come”.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Loic Remy from QPR on a four-year contract.
QPR said in a statement on their website that the France international striker has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2018, after Chelsea activated a release clause in the 27-year-old’s contract.
Remy joined QPR from Marseille in January 2013, scoring six goals in 14 games, as Rangers were relegated from the Premier League.
He spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Newcastle United, where he scored 14 goals.

Boko Haram gunmen have killed scores of residents in a Nigerian town on the border with Cameroon that they captured in recent raids, witnesses told AFP on Saturday.
The militants seized Gamboru Ngala earlier this week after taking over military and police facilities in a fierce gun battle which forced thousands of residents across the border into Cameroon.
The residents fled to Fotokol for fear of attack by the Islamists, despite being told they were only after security personnel and local vigilantes.
“They are now killing people like chickens,” said Sidi Kyarimi, a Gamboru resident who fled to Fotokol on Friday. “They started by selective killings and later went on a killing spree.”
Among those killed included the town’s highest Muslim cleric and the head of its traders’ union, he said.
“They threaten to kill anybody who refuses to leave the town. They say we don’t belong,” he added.
The insurgents were roaming the streets of the town carrying guns and machetes, shooting and h*****g to death residents, said Yusuf Sanda, who also fled to Fotokol.
“They have been breaking into homes and shops and looting them,” he said.
“Initially they said we were free to stay or leave but now they are saying all residents should leave the town because it is now an Islamic Caliphate.”
Sanda said he escaped to Fotokol by wading through the shallow river on the border because it was too dangerous to walk the streets with the insurgents on the prowl.
Boko Haram has in recent weeks seized territory in northern Borno state near the border with Cameroon in an apparent move to carve out a state for themselves.
In a video obtained by AFP last weekend, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau declared the town of Gwoza, which his men captured earlier this month, as part of an Islamic caliphate.
Boko Haram now controls at least three districts in Borno state and at least one each in Yobe and Adamawa states.
The military has maintained that Nigeria’s sovereignty is intact and denied reports that soldiers fled the Boko Haram assault in Gamboru Ngala into Cameroon.
Borno, Yobe and Adamawa have been under a state of emergency since May last year but despite some initial gains, the military has been unable to stem increasing violence, particularly in remote regions.
Madagali, a predominantly Christian town in the north of Adamawa state, was the latest to fall in the hands of Boko Haram after they chased out troops.
Scores of Christians were killed in the town and many Christian women were allegedly forced to convert to Islam and marry insurgents, according to the spokesman for the Roman Catholic diocese of Maiduguri.
“Christian men were caught and beheaded, the women were forced to become Muslim and were taken as wives to the terrorists,” Father Gideon Obasogie alleged.
“The houses of Christians that have fled are now occupied by the Haramists. Their cars are used by the terrorists. Strict Sharia law had been promulgated”, he added in an emailed statement.
There was no independent confirmation of Obasogie’s claims due to poor phone networks in the remote region and the mass exodus of residents.

These amazing photos show two lions as they fought to be the King of the Jungle and also for the attention of a lioness in Masa Mara, Kenya and luckily for us photographers were there to take some unbelievable snaps.
The two male lions, who are actually brothers, were captured on camera by Laurent Renaud and Dominique Haution, who are French seasoned safari photographers.
“When lions want to overtake a pride, the old lions fight with the new ones. But seeing two lion brothers fighting, one against the other is a very rare sighting. We were very lucky to witness it, and both lions unfortunately ended up with serious wounds. But that’s just what happens in the wild and we would never interfere with nature.” Laurent said
She also said just 15 minutes after the lions finished scrapping, the triumphant brother went and mated with his lioness as a prize. See more photos below:-

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says Chelsea striker Diego Costa needs to learn to show his opponents respect.
The £32m signing from Atletico Madrid scored twice in a 6-3 win at Goodison but was booked for a clash with Seamus Coleman after the latter’s own goal.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho felt Everton players tried to aggravate Costa.
But Spaniard Martinez said: “There are certain foreign players who come to the Premier League who need to understand the ethics and the culture.”
Costa was involved in an altercation with home keeper Tim Howard after the striker appeared to goad Coleman for the own goal that put Chelsea 3-1 up.
Martinez added:
“The behavior in the British game is unique.
“The last thing you want to see is disrespect from a player to another player and I am sure he will learn that very quickly.
“There is a real professionalism and respect in the league so you can understand why the players weren’t happy with that, in the same way as trying to buy free-kicks with the way he plays.”

The police in Lagos have arrested two citizens of the Republic of Benin for being in possession of human parts.
One of the suspects, Djassau Gerard was caught trying to enter Nigeria with a human skull.
He confessed and led police to his accomplice, Sessou Djiman, a native doctor at Owode area of Ogun State.
Djassau said:
“There is nothing wrong in one going about with human parts in our country. In fact, when someone is believed to have been struck dead by thunder, the body will not be buried, because it is a taboo.
The corpse will be taken to the home of a traditionalist. The traditionalist or native doctor keeps the corpse, allows it to decompose and then dries it.
Thereafter, anybody who is interested in any of the parts will come for it without any payment,”
“It was through a native doctor that I met Djiman and discovered that he has more powers. I returned to Nigeria to meet him for more power,”
The skull was found hidden in a bag by the police during a routine stop and search operation.
This is indeed a shocker, Naijaloadites please do find any sense in this justification?

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has blasted at Liberian officials who he said connived with Patrick Sawyer, who brought Ebola Virus to Nigeria.
According to the former president, this singular misadventure has started to take its toll on the manpower and the economy of not only Nigeria but the West Africa sub-region.
Obasanjo spoke while answering questions from guests at an event organised by the publisher of Inside Watch Africa magazine, Oluwaseyi Adegoke-Adeyemo, tagged, ‘An afternoon with Obasanjo’, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, according to reports from Vanguard.
Obasanjo, however, disclosed that he had a meeting with the Ghanaian President, John Mahama, who’s also the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African Countries, some weeks ago, and discussed how to contain the spread of the deadly virus within the sub-region.
He further said that, during the meeting, Mahama wanted a meeting of ministers of health, but he suggested that there was a limit the ministers could go and that a summit of the presidents in the sub-region would be better.
He said, “It is devilish enough Patrick Sawyer had to spread this, and indeed spread it to Nigeria in connivance with some authorities from his country, because they knew he had it before he came to Nigeria.
“The EVD has started to take its toll on the country and the West African sub region. The toll is not only on the number of those who are ill or dead but on the economy of communities, countries, region and sub-region”.
The former president, while noting that EVD was not only a regional or sub-regional threat but a global one, called for a summit where a national policy on the disease would be formulated.
Obasanjo said, “Pharmaceutical companies in the country should be encouraged to carry out research on EVD and come up with vaccine to treat the deadly disease.
“Also, we have to be aggressive in taking precautionary measures.
When you see your neighbour or someone who has unique symptoms not just of ordinary cold or fever, take him to the doctor, whether it is symptomatic of Ebola or ordinary malaria.
“We should not wait till someone has got incubated in it, just like Patrick Sawyer, who knew he had it and he deliberately spread it.”

It appears Australian hostage negotiator Dennis Stephen isn’t done making outrageous and some would say ‘eye-opening’ claims. Just a day after he claimed that former Borno state Gov, Alimodu Sheriff and an unnamed retired army chief are sponsors of Boko Haram, he’s now claiming that the insurgent group if funded through the CBN. In an interview with TheCable, Stephen claimed a senior official of the CBN handles the financial transactions of the sect group. What he said below…
“One of the biggest of suppliers of arms and military uniforms to the JAS (Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, better known as Boko Haram) currently lives in Cairo, Egypt. He is the recipient of money sent by political sponsors from Nigeria. The funds go through the CBN’s financial system and appear to be a legal transaction. Meanwhile, the CBN official who handles the funding is an uncle to three of those arrested in connection with the Nyanya bombings. The three boys lived with him. They were arrested by the SSS (Department of State Security) after the bombings but they do not seem to have been interrogated about their uncle in CBN. Or if they have given up information about their uncle then the SSS has not moved against him.” Stephen said Continue…
“Also, a senior official of CBN, who recently left the bank, was very close to Sodiq Aminu Ogwuche, the mastermind of the Nyanya bombings who also schooled in Sudan. Boko haram commanders said Ogwuche’s wife used to visit this top official in his office at the headquarters of the bank in Abuja before the Nyanya bombings. They were very close,” Davis said. He said he is speaking out now because he feels the Federal government is doing little in the rescue of the missing Chibok girls “I have three daughters. I just cannot stand the thought of what those girls are passing through. I have spoken to an escapee who described how she was being r***d for 40 days by militants. I can’t stand it. It is heart-breaking. Nigerian authorities must act decisively now,” he said

Most of the times we take TOKUNBO CARS to Abuja from Lagos for sale. Three days ago, we sent some of our guys to deliver two cars to buyers in Abuja.
I was going to call these guys to find out where they were but their phones were not reachable for the whole day! I was worried and began to make contacts.
Thank God they have been able to reach an uncle before they collected all their phones and the uncle had also reached a lawyer.
These guys were arrested for no offense, they had all the papers intact! Unknown to the police men, the cars were more than two.
The third guy who had driven past the police men had called some people and later turned back.
He was also arrested and they collected his phone immediately, not knowing he had contacted people.
They were all taken to SARS police station somewhere in Dugbe.
We were able to trace them to the station, on getting there, we saw hell! They were furious and began to ask questions on how we got there.
The shouted, ”who called you, who called you”? To cut the long story short, we were able to take out our guys after parting with 80, 000 NGN.
The guys narrated their experience in the cell, many cell occupants who have been there for days without anyone looking for them are being killed and sold.
They said the boss usually come with people at night, point to two or three occupants an they would be driven away without being returned.
Our government needs to investigate this and take necessary action to avoid another ‘civilized’ SOKA

The 56-year-old singer has allegedly taken a swipe at her ex-husband, whom she married in 2000 and divorced in 2008, in leaked lyrics taken from her upcoming 13th studio album.
She sings of the director in the song ‘Heartbreak City’: ‘Cut me down the middle, f***ed me up a little. You said I was your queen. I tried to give you everything. And now you want your freedom.
‘You got just what you came for, a bit of fame and fortune, and I’m no longer needed.
You tore me into pieces, you didn’t have no damn reason. I let you in my kingdom, you helped yourself with everything.
‘I curse the day we met. This memory is haunting me. I wish I could forget.
However, Guy, 45 – with whom she has sons Rocco and David – isn’t the only one Madonna has hit out at in her songwriting as she’s also criticised the ‘Applause’ hitmaker, 28, for ‘copying’ her.
In the track ‘Two Steps Behind Me’, she sings: ‘You’re a copycat, Where is my royalty? You’re a pretty girl, I’ll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it’s an ugly look.
‘Did you study me hard enough? You’re never gonna be, you’re just a wannabe me. Like a sister all messed-up, who’s gonna help you out?’
Meanwhile, there’s no guarantee that either of the songs will make it onto the album as the ‘Hung Up’ hitmaker has penned around 50 tracks for the collection, but friends of the blonde beauty insist she isn’t holding back when it comes to her songwriting.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ‘They’re very harsh lyrics but Madonna really wants to express herself again.’

Yea, my new song Kolombo is what’s going on right now and the response so far has been awesome, the acceptance is amazing.

After Kolombo, we are entering the collaboration project with international and Nigerian acts. In the next one-month, we’ll unveil the artistes I’ll be working with.
Is there a plan for an album?
Yes, the album will drop in the first quarter of next year.
In your song ‘My Story’, you said you once slept under the bridge?
Yes, everything in that song is true. You know I’m from Lagos, I’m an Ijaw boy from Delta State, and the only thing I know how to do from my childhood is music, singing and writing. So back then I used to rehearse people’s songs to go and perform at clubs.
So there was this day and it was unlucky to stay late at the club where I went to perform and they had locked the gate to the house of my friend I was squatting with, the annoying thing was I paid to perform at the show and yet they still didn’t allow me to perform because I wasn’t popular even though I paid to perform. So I was forced to sleep under the bridge at Ikeja till daybreak.

The 35-year-old reality TV star, who already has son, Mason, four, and daughter, Penelope, two, with her longtime boyfriend, admits she hid her third pregnancy from him for a few weeks, as she was afraid of how he would react.
In a clip for an upcoming episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians ,‘ she says: ‘I definitely had to build up the courage to tell Scott because he’s just been super depressed, so I just don’t want to set him off.’
During the episode, the brunette beauty finally breaks the news to Scott, as she is folding clothes, saying: ‘I just want to tell that I’m pregnant.’
It seems she was right to be concerned, as he immediately responds: ‘You just keep suckering me into these kids. I can’t handle this responsibility. I just can’t take care of more kids.’
After Scott accuses her of planning to wait to tell him until after she gave birth, she says: ‘Right, so you don’t have to be anxious the whole time.’
Kourtney also reveals she found out she was pregnant in March and kept it a secret until after her birthday on April 18.
Former restauranteur Scott, 31, has been struggling to get over the deaths of his mother, Bonnie Disick, who died from an illness in November and his father, Jeffrey Disick, who passed away suddenly in January.
