Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi and team captain Joseph Yobo have quit the National team following their second round elimination at the on-going World Cup finals in Brazil.

Speaking at a post match conference, Keshi said, ‘I have to go back to my family and face fresh challenges‘.

Super Eagles Captain, Yobo Joseph in a statement also confirmed his exit from the National team. ‘I think I should give the younger ones the opportunity to forge ahead. I have nothing new to offer.‘

Nigeria lost to France in a 2 – 0 defeat in the knockout stage. Joseph Yobo scored an own goal in the last minute of regulation time.

The 33-year-old beauty, who is married to rapper Kanye West , was left reeling when a white male reporter donned ‘blackface’ – the act of sporting dark coloured make-up to portray a black person – and claimed, ‘It’s me, Kanye!’

Kim and mother Kris Jenner , 58, expressed their outrage over the trip – which occurred in February – in the latest episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ last night Sunday, June 29, 2014.

The reality star said: ‘I can’t believe there’s this guy is in blackface. I don’t get why him or anyone else would find this funny.’

Kim added to her mother: ‘This is just a sick joke.’

The brunette beauty also appeared to take offence to an interviewer who referred to Kanye’s song with Jay Z , ‘N****s in Paris’, at the Vienna Ball, claiming: ‘Yeah, we’re going to dance. We wait for ‘N****s in Vienna’.’

Kim commented: ‘Did he say what I think he just said?’

An incensed Kris said: ‘I get that he’s a comedian but clearly, that was incredibly inappropriate. We just need to get the hell out of here.’

Kris later fumed she had ‘never been as disrespected as a woman or a human being in my life’.

The mother-of-five – who also had some of her belongings stolen – continued: ‘I come to Vienna and everything I had that’s valuable is stolen out of my suitcase and this man treats Kim with such disrespect. That’s not where we come from, my children are taught to treat people with respect … I feel like I let my daughter down by allowing her to even experience this nonsense.’

Speaking to her sister Khloe Kardashian , 30, upon their return home, Kim branded the visit the ‘trip from hell’, adding: ‘It was so racist.’

The star also recalled a harrowing experience on the plane home when a fellow traveller verbally berated her for dating a black man and having a biracial child, 12-month-old daughter North.

Kim recalled: ‘[She said] ‘She has a sex video with a black guy…’ going on and on. And then the pilot had to come out, the captain, everyone … they’re all, ‘We’re going to call the LAPD the second we land.’ Her husband sat on her [and told her], ‘Shut the f**k up.’

Stephen Keshi, Super Eagles coach, has resigned his appointment after leading the team to the second round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Keshi who made this known after the Nigerian football team was eliminated by France in the round of 16 match in Brasilia, Monday, said it was time to move on and face fresh challenges after leading his Nigeria to the Africa Nations Cup trophy last year and the ongoing World Cup in Brazil.

“I have to go back to my family and face fresh challenges,” Keshi said.

A terrorists’ intelligence cell headed by a businessman who participated actively in the abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State has been busted by troops. The man, Babuji Ya’ari who is also a member of the youth vigilante group popularly known as Civilian JTF which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the m****r of the Emir of Gwoza. His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.

Babuji has been co-ordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.

The arrest of the businessman who is known to deal in tricycles has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists’ intelligence cell who are women. One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier fled to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested. Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group. In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of N10,000 is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.

Another female suspect named Haj Kaka who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group has also been arrested. Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists’ intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.

In another development, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has apologised to Giorgio Chiellini for the bite that earned him a nine-match and four-month ban from football.



The Uruguay forward, 27, was suspended from all football for biting Italy’s Chiellini in a World Cup match.



“The truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me,” said Suarez in a statement.



Suarez has previously said he lost his balance and did not bite Chiellini.



It is his third career ban for biting after incidents with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic while at Liverpool in April 2013, and PSV’s Otman Bakkal while at Ajax in 2010.



“I deeply regret what occurred,” added Suarez. “



I apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family. I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like this.”



Chiellini had himself called the ban “excessive”, while, in his written submission to Fifa, Suarez said: “I lost my balance, making my body unstable and falling on top of my opponent.”

As preparations heat up ahead of 2015 general elections, former militants from the Niger Delta region have asked President Goodluck Jonathan to declare his intention to run for a second term or risk being banished forever from Ijaw land.



The ex-militants, under the aegis of Ex-militant Phase 3 Leaders of Federal Government Amnesty Programme, expressed their anger over some “provocative and unwarranted comments” against Jonathan’s reelection bid.



Chairman of the group and speaker, Godstime Ogidigba and Peter Edah in a joint statement issued at the end of its meeting in Edo called on all Nigerians to join hands with the federal government in its effort to bring to an end the activities of the Boko Haram sect which have continued to claim the lives of Nigerians.



They said:



“The call became necessary at a time like

this when some individuals and selfish politicians are over-heating the polity, making provocative comments and saying Mr President promised them that he would run for just one term as if they are now the

constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”



“Therefore, we warn any group of persons or

politicians that will attempt to stop Mr President from exercising his fundamental human right that this will put the unity of Nigeria at great risk. We, therefore, call on you to contest the seat of the President. And if for any reason you fail to contest come 2015, you should not come back home but remain in Abuja forever.”



The group called on all citizens to support the transformation agenda of president Jonathan.

An 87-year-old woman, Mrs. Sanusi Adebisi, has locked horns with the Union Bank Plc over the N253,000 withdrawn from her account in the bank via the Internet sometime in October 2013.

The claimant told the Magistrate’s Court sitting at the Ojokoro, Agbado area of Lagos that she just got N200,000 of the sum from her cooperatives to operate the tumour in her eye.

She told the court that the tumour had worsened since the scam took place because no longer had money to get rid of it.

Adebisi, who sells drinks in Orile-Agege, said she had been the sole signatory to her account since 1970s before her only daughter, Sanusi Ifedayo, was included as a joint signatory due to a health problem.

Ifedayo claimed she did not know anything about Internet transaction and told the court that she had rejected the use of an ATM card for the account, but an official of the bank insisted that she applied for it, saying some amount could not be cashed across the counter.

“I had withdrawn N40, 000 for Mama (mother) that day before the scam. It was my husband who went to greet her that very day that noticed the debit alerts on her phone.

I wrote a letter of complaint to the bank and its officials promised to investigate the matter. After a week, I was told that the money was withdrawn online by an unknown person.

I don’t even know how to operate a Facebook account not to talk of using Internet for transaction. The bank is in best position to tell us what transpired,” she said.

She also claimed that she had never revealed the ATM pin to anyone.

The claimant’s counsel, Mr. Gbenga Julius, presented before the court, a signed and stamped printout of his client’s statement of account reportedly accessed from the Union Bank – an exhibit the defence counsel, Mr. Seyi Solaja, refuted.

Solaja maintained that the exhibit was not the same as the one the bank issues to its customers, adding that it was null and void under Section 84 of Evidence Act.

The magistrate, Mrs. T. Akani adjourned the case to July 27, 2014 for further hearing.

The United States said on Friday it had decreased its surveillance flights in the search for the about 219 sch00l girls abducted by Boko Haram, but added that the overall effort was unchanged due to more flights by other countries.

It stated that it had no idea of the location of the girls, noting however that there is no letup in the efforts to locate and rescue them.

“We don’t have any better idea today than we did before about where these girls are, but there’s been no letup of the effort itself,” Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told reporters, according to Reuters.

Kirby said the same level of effort was being sustained now through international involvement.

A US defence official speaking on condition of anonymity said American flights had been reduced only after a body of intelligence had been gathered and that the cuts had been offset by the British and the French support.

Kirby denied a suggestion that US flights over Nigeria had been reduced to accommodate increased US surveillance over Iraq, where Washington is flying unmanned and manned aircraft to gather intelligence about Sunni insurgents.

He said some of the resources that were being used in Nigeria had been diverted from other missions in Africa and could now be used elsewhere on the continent.

Officials declined to say how long heightened U.S. surveillance over Nigeria had lasted.

Asked whether it was just a week or two, the defence official said, “No. We were building this baseline for a good period of time.”

US surveillance flights over Nigeria were now intermittent, the source said.

US military personnel are in Abuja helping to coordinate the effort, and some 80 others were sent to Chad in May to support the surveillance operation.

Chad is northeast of Nigeria and borders the area in which Boko Haram is known to operate.

In the last month, US officials had played down expectations about a swift rescue of the girls and stressed the limitations of intelligence from surveillance flights.

One US official voiced concerns that Boko Haram might have bosom-trapped areas where the girls could be held, and there had been reports that they might have been split up into groups that were not being held in one place.

The defence official said surveillance alone would not lead to a resolution. “It will take the Nigerian piece of the equation with their own sources and human intelligence coupled with the other forms to really understand the picture,” he noted.

In an opinion piece in the Washington Post on Friday, President Goodluck Jonathan said his government and security services had “spared no resources, have not stopped and will not stop until the girls are returned home.”

Discouraging belief – that’s the word that defines what many Nigerians feel right now after Tonto Dikeh made good her promise to drop good a single under the now-maligned DB Records. ‘Sugar Rush’, her new single, has countless Nigerians clicking the download button. They do that not because the song is outstanding in melody, but because we all would love to pinch ourselves and listen to the reality of D’banj’s new addition.

Tonto Dikeh, forever the subject of calculated controversy, and the sole attraction of social media attention, has over the past two years tried her hands at music, with little success. Her song ‘Hi’, still resides in the annals of Nigerian entertainment as the worst attempt by a Nigerian within the last half-decade. She’s not only a musical ridicule, she’s also a pariah.

Maybe she is just bored, perhaps she is adventurous, or just blind to her ailing lyrical capabilities.

But Tonto, so far has displayed no musical talent. But in comes D’banj, to save the day. Signing up Tonto Dikeh to his DB Records, and slamming every one of his his employees with the Orient-oriented ‘Lee’ suffix in an attempt to rebrand their image.

Tonto Dikeh’s image, ingrained negatively in numerous hearts, will need more than a ‘Lee’ surname to improve on it. She’s called ‘PokoLee’, and now has a new song with the icon that ‘D’banj’ is. Poko Lee is signed to DBLee, which is owned by Banger Lee. Impressive, isn’t it?

Let’s move to the new song, ‘Sugar Rush’. In isolation, it isn’t what many will call a bad song. Neither does it threaten to have a quality that will uproot trees, but it his her best effort yet.

Afforded the luxury and skill of the DB Records members, Tonto’s new song is a good song.

It possesses the basics of a stereotypical Nigerian commercial song – A lyrically shallow verse, a catchy hook, and off course, a danceable beat. Add the endless hours of promotion and the amount of cash that would change hands, and you’ll have a hit on your hands. D’banj, thou art the hero of Tonto’s career.

Finally, let’s cast our minds to the little matter of ‘Sugar Rush’ having elements of the Dorobucci sound. Yes I admit there are certain similarities, which off course will be amplified by the tendency of humans to dwell on anything that affords them the opportunity to entertain themselves.

But for me, it’s just the beat. It has a striking similarity to Don Jazzy’s and that’s where it ends. But even at that, there’s no cause to take up arms and ridicule D’banj, because in Nigeria, there’s no new beat. Every beat is a recycled beat, infused with a few novel elements.

That’s what the good wise folks at DB Records have done. It’s fair, it’s square, it makes for good business. But above all, it has done some good in the life of Tonto Dikeh.

Let’s leave it at that, because when it all comes down to the basics, Tonto Dikeh has a good song, history has been made, and the world seems a better place for her.

The Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Monday alleged that the Boko Haram sect is the armed wing of the opposition party, All Progressives Congress, further accusing the Party’s leaders of being supportive of the sect’s actions, as it suits their purpose of discrediting the PDP led government.

“If you compare what’s happening in Nigeria to what happened in Ireland some years ago, you had Sinn Fein on the one hand and then you had the IRA on the other. The IRA was the armed wing of Sinn Fein and as far as I’m concerned, Boko Haram could well be described as the armed wing of the opposition, today.”

The former minister made this statement while addressing issues concerning the State of the Nation, on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily.

“It’s very clear to me when you look at all these things that Nigeria is a nation that is at war and we need to be able to do something about this and recognize that when we are at war, you don’t start fighting the government of the day.”

Fani-Kayode, who had been known to critise the Goodluck Jonathan administration until a recent reconciliation, called on citizens to support the government. “What you do is you try to join forces with all the relevant individuals to fight the insurgency, fight the militants and move the country forward”, he said.

He said that the failure of citizens to understand the situation may lead to a take-over of government by the militants, noting the bold advances of militants in Iraq, who are attempting to take over the nation’s capital, Baghdad. He maintained that “sooner or later, you will have such advances being made on Abuja by the Islamic fundamentalists and by Boko Haram”, if care was not taken.

He argued that the Boko Haram was simply after establishing an Islamic fundamentalist state and so it was clear that there could be no basis for negotiation.

“This war is not between Christians and Muslims”, he argued, adding that “It’s between those that believe in Islamic fundamentalist state or the creation of it and Islamic fundamentalists on one hand against the rest of us – that is, Christians and Muslims together and everybody else.”

The former Minister of Culture and Tourism went further to describe members of the sect and their supporters as beasts, who would sacrifice fellow Muslims as a result of their depravity.

“They will kill their own Muslim brothers and sisters, they will kill Christians, they will kill anybody to achieve their objectives and to have their way.”

Asked about the identity of Boko Haram supporters, Fani-Kayode said that there were “some people in this country that believe that it suits their purpose for Boko Haram to kill people in order to discredit the government, destabilize the country and bring the government down.”

He went further to point fingers at the opposition party; maintaining that some members have sympathies for Boko Haram. In defending his claims, he referred to statements credited to members of the opposition, concerning the possible outbreak of violence if the Presidency did not return to the North in 2015.

“That was in 2011, 3 years later, we’ve seen evidence of that. We’ve seen that unfolding in this country”, he said, alleging that threats of making Nigeria ungovernable by some APC elements make them obvious sympathisers.

“Look at the comments of somebody like General Buhari, who was once Head of State in this country.

Fani-Kayode noted that the opinion was out of place considering the fact that “they killed almost 15,000 of our citizens, at that point in time… This is not the sort of thing anybody of that stature ought to be saying.”

The former minister further noted that the former Head of State had openly attempted to spread Sharia to all States of the Federation before, and that his objective back then now “tallies with the objective of Boko Haram.”

Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, the Head of the One Love Family” Ibadan, on Sunday predicted victory for the Super Eagles ahead of their clash with the Blues of France in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

His prediction is contained in a statement signed by Wole Oladapo, the Minister for Media Links of the One Love Family.

The Super Eagles are billed to take on their French counterparts on Monday in the Round of 16 of at the Mundial.

Victory for the Eagles in the match will qualify them for their first quarter-final berth, while a defeat will see them knocked out of the tournament.

He reminded the Nigerian Football Association, Super Eagles Supporters Club, players and coaching crew to be obedient to his earlier divine injunctions, such as avoiding the colour Blue and abstaining from s*x, smoking and drinking.

This is, however, the time for the whole world to know and realise the fact that Nigeria is where the light of the world resides. Victory is for Africa,’’ the statement said.

It said predicted a win during the Nigeria versus Bosnia match, an encounter that largely contributed to Nigeria’s qualification for the Round of 16. (NAN)

The paralympian ‘s murder case has been on hold since May 20 while he underwent medical evaluation, but a psychological report has ruled he did not have a mental disorder when he killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Four appointed psychiatrists had to decide whether he was ‘capable of appreciating the wrongfulness of his act’ or ‘criminally responsible’ for his behaviour at the time of the shooting.

Both prosecution and defence lawyers have accepted the findings and the trial resumes in Pretoria, South Africa, today Monday, June 30, 2014.

The athlete has denied deliberately murdering the model in February last year, insisting he acted in self-defence in the mistaken belief she was an intruder, and his lawyers had argued he was suffering from an anxiety disorder at the time of the incident.

Today, the court will hear from Dr. Gerry Versfeld who amputated Pistorius’ legs and he will discuss the impact of the disability on the athlete.

The defence is expected to finish presenting its evidence in the next few days.

If found guilty of murder, Oscar Pistorius could face life in jail, or 15 years in prison if the court finds him guilty of the lesser charge of culpable homicide.

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu, on Sunday, banned women from attending church services with hand-bags.

The ban followed recent incursion of the Boko Haram insurgents into the South-East, especially the foiled bomb attack at the Winners’ Church in Owerri, Imo State.

The development, according to the church, is aimed at nipping in the bud any possible attack on places of worship in the Diocese.

According to the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. (Dr) Calistus Onaga, who directed all parish priests within the Diocese to make the official announcement during Sunday services, he appealed to the faithful to cooperate with the church in that regard.

He said the exercise was not meant to embarrass the women or any body, but was born out of the present disturbing insecurity challenges facing the nation.

The cleric however, assured that it will be done with human face, and in a civilised manner, adding that the church, do not want to take chances.

A worshipper who do not want his name in print said, “I must tell you, the Bishop and entire Catholic faithful in Enugu, are apprehensive with the rumour of the insurgents infiltrating the east, especially the alleged recent escape of two buses conveying Boko Haram members in Abia state, during a security check.

“I support the development that henceforth, women will no longer be allowed to enter Catholic churches during masses with hand bags, apart from their purses, which will also be subjected to thorough scrutiny by church workers.

“Before today’s announcement was made, our Bishop had already briefed all the parish priests under the Diocese, so that they can take the message down to their various parishes.

“Though, we known that if God did not guard a city, guard men will be guarding in vein; but there is also need for us as human beings to play our own part, while God plays his own part”.

Meanwhile, Bishop Onaga, has urged members of the Catholic community in the Diocese and elsewhere, to always be security conscious, stressing that the present insecurity challenges confronting Nigeria, had remained a serious source of concern to the church.

The hand bag prohibition, according to the Bishop, will affect every woman, both young and old.

“There will be no sacred cow in its implementation”, a church source said.

The Minister of Sports, Hon Tammy Danagogo, has announced that Nigerian business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr, has sent him $250,000 for the Super Eagles, ahead of Monday’s round of 16 clash against France.

This news will boost the team, who failed to train last week due to a bonus row, until President Goodluck Jonathan intervened and promised they will be paid their allowances.

“He said this is a token and if the team goes ahead and shock the world he will join Mr President to shock the team,” Danagogo said, while making the announcement to excited players and their officials.

Midfielder John Mikel Obi, speaking later at the FIFA media briefing, promised that Nigeria will do all it takes to achieve victory.

“It’s a great opportunity for us and the weather will affect both sides but we hope to do what we have to do to win the match,” he declared.

From latest information coming out in actress Uche Ogbodo’s marriage break up saga, it appears she dumped her husband because the man is battling with some challenges. Uche had told SDK that the man lied to her and she even claimed that he never married her, adding “we did only introduction”.



But the man, who is based abroad, has just went through a brain surgery and he is still recovering. He almost cried when he heard all that the actress he married as his wife said about him.



According to SDK, Ato, her now estranged husband, is presently recovering from brain surgery, his friends said his only mistake was falling in love with “a wrong woman” in the person of Uche Ogbodo.



The man’s father, a Pastor, said he was shocked when he heard Uche’s lies. His words:

“We went to her village and paid the bride price and after that she was still bearing her fathers name, I don’t know why she didn’t change it. If she is saying now that she is not married then she has divorced herself. Marriage is not by force. I am the father of Ato and I am telling you now that what she told you is a lie.

I am a servant of God and I cannot tell lies, if she is saying that “she is not married that means she has rejected us. if she has problems with my son this is the wrong way to go about it but we leave it all to God. I am a veteran Journalist, thank you for balancing this story by calling us because we were shocked when people started calling us to say Uche has denied marrying our son.”

Wizkid, from what we know, he came from a middle class family but he acts like he’s been living the life of gold already. He’s been making dumb comments to his fans who made him. He once said “when broke people think they have a say” to a fan who inquired about his next album. These same fans made him and just like a typical African star. We’ve heard bad rumors about the kid star concerning his fans.

2. PLANLESS – WIZKID

Wizkid is just following the footsteps of D’Banj who rose to the sky and dropped like God kicked him back to earth. He is rushing for international fame just typical of most African musicians thinking that is the way to heaven. Truth is, you need to conquer your world first. Currently Davido is popular all over Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Zimbabwe and his home country, Nigeria. He seems to have a plan, trying to conquer his continent before moving to the world. Wizkid is forgetting that the foreign world doesn’t have anything for him. All his crap lyrics “lelelele and yaaga” and things won’t make the cut. If I was him, I would learn a lot from D’Banj’s failure. Even Kanye West couldn’t help D’Banj, what more can a douchebag like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber do for you as an African artiste?

3. WIZKID – ACTS LIKE HE’S MADE IT

Davido is a son of a billionaire, if not, a millionaire and he’s been probably living a lavish life since childhood but he has defied that fact and trying his best to join his dad. Davido makes a whopping $50,000 per show and has made his own money, unlike Wizkid, he goes to instagram and twitter just to act like he’s a millionaire already when I’m perfectly sure he’s far from that. We are not surprised, poor people always want to be something they are not. No doubt, Wizkid has made it but even Mike Tyson who was once worth 300 million dollars plus is now broke how much more a musician from Africa who is not worth a million dollars SMH!

4. DAVIDO – MADE IT ON HIS OWN (VERSATILE)

Davido started it all off with his “HKN Gang” unlike Wizkid, he came through Banky W who made sure the world knows about Wizkid’s talents. Just like most of our African artistes, he felt cheated and decided to form his own StarBoi label and even planned to leave Banky W’s label. Greediness??? You tell us?

5. WIZKID IS JUST LUCKY, DAVIDO IS THE BUSINESS

If you listen to Wizkid’s songs very well, his songs lacks substance, it’s the same usual “one word chorus” like Ginger, The Matter, Caro but Davido spans through all the genres from Highlife, Dance, Afrobeats like Skelewu, Aye, Gobe, One Of A Time and more hits in his short time of being in the industry. Davido also take advantage of all artistes (both underground and made artistes in different countries) and work with them unlike Wizkid, even if you invite him, he would have to like your product first before he feature on it. Davido immediately shot another video to his hit song “Skelewu” after fans complained about it, if it was Wizkid, he would have insulted the fans. Davido has songs with Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Diamond, Mafikizolo and counting. Not forgetting most of Wizkid’s hit songs were freestyles and unplanned.

Following the deadly attack on churches in Kautikari and some other villages of Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State by the suspected Boko Haram sects this morning, June 29, at least 30 bodies have been recovered according to members of a local vigilante group.

Members of the vigilante group who said search is still going said they found 30 corpses from surrounding bushes and Churches in Kwada and Kautikari villages.

It was reported today that the gunmen stormed the villages and started burning Churches, houses and shooting worshippers.

According to Premium times, a vigilante member, who would not want to be quoted for his safety said: “We have so far recovered more than 30 corpses, but we got more of them from the EYN church where the Boko Haram gunmen first attacked in Kwada.”

The source said the community did not receive protection from the security forces despite calling for help early.

“We are disappointed with the soldiers, when we heard about the attack in Kwada, we raised alarm and informed the soldiers, but instead of going into the town to confront them, they stood from a distance outside the village, under a tree and began to shoot or target. The gunmen finished with Kwada and proceeded to Kautikari, where they attacked people there until 11:30am when they finally left. We cannot say how many people were killed in Kwada yet,” he said.

Meanwhile the Borno State police spokesperson, Gideon Jubrin said although he was informed of the attack, he did not have full details as of Sunday afternoon. Mr. Jubrin said he was yet to contact the district police officer in charge of Chibok.

It would be recalled that on June 16, it was reported that the dreaded Boko Haram sects issues a threat to Chibok residents of their plans to attack after they abducted over 200 Chibok school girls on April 14.
