Justin Bieber is being sued over a violent club brawl.
The ‘Boyfriend’ singer has been hit by a lawsuit from 22-year old Wayne Rennalls, who claims he was left covered in cuts and bruises following an altercation with the 20-year old singer’s security team at South Pointe nightclub in Southampton in May 2013.
Though police investigating the incident at the time weren’t looking into the singer’s conduct – as he wasn’t involved in the brawl – Wayne’s suit argues that because the bodyguards are on Justin’s payroll, he should make things right financially.
According to TMZ, Wayne also criticises the club for allegedly giving alcohol to the ‘Beauty and a Beat’ hitmaker, who was underage at just 19 at the time.
The alleged victim is suing both Justin and the club for an unspecified amount in damages.
At the time of the fight – which took place in the club car park – it was claimed the altercation was sparked after a girl was stopped from speaking to Justin. She then returned to the VIP area with Wayne, sparking the singer’s fury, with the ‘Believe’ star reportedly pulling off his shirt and screaming at the man.
Justin and his team then left the club but the row flared up again in the car park and police were called.

The 43-year old actress revealed a lot of skin as she talks about how she is staying fit and how workouts have changed her drastically over the years.
According to Jada: ‘My energy levels just aren’t the same, My joints, my knees, the amount of weight that I can push versus what I did in my twenties, how long I’m willing to work out. For example, I’m not staying at the gym for two hours anymore. I hit it and quit it…I’m not going to stress my body that way anymore. I can’t.’
Shape magazine also asked her what her biggest motivators for staying in such amazing shape are and she revealed that her hunky husband, Will Smith, plays a big part.
‘I love when Will looks at me and says, ‘You look so freaking good!’ When my husband of almost 20 years can’t take his eyes off me? That’s amazing,’ she added.

An explosion has rocked Fika, a major town in Yobe state, the police in the state have told PREMIUM TIMES.
Six people are reported dead in the explosion which occurred close to a security checkpoint in the town.
The Yobe State Police Commissioner, Marcus Danladi, told PREMIUM TIMES the explosive device that went off was being conveyed in a car to an unknown location when it suddenly exploded.
The car exploded shortly after it drove past a checkpoint, Mr. Danladi said.
“The people carrying the bomb inside a vehicle were the people who died,” the police commissioner said. “They came from one of the villages where the insurgents are hiding and the same people carrying the bomb were the same people who died.
“Yobe is calm. There is no problem.”
The incident occurred less than a month after Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, came under heavy attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists who, according to residents, surrounded the town and killed many.
The terrorists had earlier on November 13 attacked the Yobe capital with explosions and gunshots in an attempt to take over the Government House.
An earlier bomb attack on Government Senior Science Secondary School in Potiskum, also in Yobe, on November 10, killed 47 students and injured 79 others, the police said.
The Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum is one of the densely populated boarding schools for boys, located very close to the Potiskum General Hospital in the heart of town.
Potiskum is the largest town outside Damaturu, the Yobe state capital. It is the headquarters of the Fika Emirate.
The attack on the high school came six days after a similar bombing was targeted at members of the Shiite group, Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria, also in Potiskum.
That bombing took place at Faydia Islamic school, ran by the Shiite. It is located near the old market in Potiskum.

Nigeria’s inspirational singer, Nikki Laoye emerged winner of the Best Female Artiste in African Inspirational Music category at the 2014 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA ) which held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.
Nikki was nominated alongside other inspirational artistes from across Africa including Monique (Nigeria), Gore Rapera (Zimbabwe) , Marema (Senegal), Sessime (Benin), Size 8 (Kenya).
The event, which was hosted by Nigeria’s 2Face Idibia and Togo’s bilingual radio and TV personality, Maryse Acotie witnessed awards picked up in 31 categories by Africa’s best music acts but notably earned Nikki her 5th award for the year.
Other awards earlier won by the rising star in 2014 include Best Female Artist-Africa (AGMA,UK); Best Soft Rock/Alternative Video – Only You (NMVA); Best Worship Song – Only You (CRYSTAL AWARDS) and a special recognition humanitarian award – ‘Ambassador of Charity 2014’ .
She was also unveiled as the Celebrity Voice for Refugees by the Federal Government establishment, NCFRMI (National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced persons), South-West Nigeria earlier on this year.

This is the saddest experience I’ve ever had with my dating experience as an adult.

As Nigerians continue to prepare for the New Year Celebrations, the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has advised worshippers on how to prevent terror attacks at worship centres.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, December, 31, 2014, by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the police boss urged Christians and Muslims in the country as they attend Jummat and Church services tonight to reduce the number of vehicles around their worship centres.
Due to the security challenges in the country, the police boss equally advised operators of motor parks, shopping malls and recreation centres to work very closely with the police and other security agencies as they strive to strengthen security in their respective facilities.
The Inspector-General of Police informed that he had directed all Zonal AIGs and State Command Commissioners of Police to ensure an efficient deployment of all operational manpower and tools at the disposal of their respective Commands.
The statement further stated that Abba has also directed the AIG Border Patrol to ensure that the nation’s borders are effectively manned to prevent any cross-border crime.
It added that the AIG Air Wing has been directed to provide aerial patrol at the Federal Capital Territory and other States.
“The Inspector-General of Police, while wishing all Nigerians a very blissful and peaceful New Year celebration, assures Nigerians of the Nigeria Police Force readiness and commitment towards ensuring a free and fair 2015 general elections.
“While saluting the courage and gallantry of officers and men of the Force for their tireless services in protecting lives and property during the year, the IG charges Police personnel to continue to be civil in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
He, however, warns that officers found acting contrary to the Force’s vision and mission will be appropriately sanctioned,” the statement read in parts.

It is a popular belief amongst women that a Lady needs to give a guy a tough time before she dances to his beats. They claim such delay tactics is healthy as it will make the guy cherish her more. They also claim that the guy would appreciate better something he sweats to get.
Sincerely speaking, this their ideology is absolute trash to me. I don’t have that time to be chasing a lady for 12 months, after all she isn’t my “dream”.
I get easily discouraged when it comes to convincing a lady to be mine, maybe because I don’t feel a lady is doing me a favour by accepting to be mine. Come to think it, “Is she doing me any favour”? Don’t even talk about s*x cos it’s very cheap and I can get it without dating. More so, she won’t be doing me any good because she might even enjoy it more ( I always put my partner’s satisfaction first).
I get sick and tired when a lady gives me unnecessary tough time. In fact, most of them call me “Egotistical”. They think I’m proud because my orientation is different from that of most guys they’ve met. They feel I’m cocky because they don’t know my background, they have no idea about my journey so far.
I’ve had just 3 Girlfriends all my life. The first, I didn’t woo her. The second gave me a YES after 24hours and the third which was the most tasking accepted to be mine after 4days of declaring interest. Guess what? I had the shortest relationship with the one that gave me the toughest time, it lasted just 2 months.
I’ve been single since December 2012 mainly because I don’t have that strength to keep pushing and pushing. Most of them tell me that I’m spoilt and that I don’t even know how to woo *lmao*. They claim I’m always too casual when wooing them, they say I don’t show sign of seriousness, they conclude I always feel I shouldn’t work too hard to get them. Do they want me to kill cow to show my seriousness? Nevertheless, I feel I’ve not just met that person that’ll make me break the rules, that one person that’ll make my heart do giz giz, that person that’ll have my “mumu button” *lol*.
You know the funniest thing? The ones you don’t wanna date are the ones always stalking and readily available. As a good guy, you don’t wanna woo dem, use dem and dump them. So, nigga just keeps it at the Friends With Benefits level. When you get tired of the FWB life and seek love again, you’ll meet one girl that’ll be giving you unnecessary tough time and you’ll be like… “WTF! Some girls are praying I upgrade their status from FWB to official Girlfriend and this one is here forming one rubbish! Go To Hell jooor” *LMAO*

The Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) on Wednesday said it had added street washing in some highbrow areas to preserve investments on some new roads in the state.
Mr Ola Oresanya, the General Manager of the authority, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
He said that the authority had ten mechanical sweeping machines which sweep, wash and scrub roads in the night.

An Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court remanded two men including a teenage boy, Dayo Akinola on Tuesday, for allegedly robbing a motorcyclist with a toy gun. Leadership newspaper covers the story:
Akinola, 19, and his accomplice, Damilola Aroyeun, 23, are facing trial on a two-count of armed robbery and possession of firearms.
The Magistrate, Mr Emmanuel Adekunte, who did not take the pleas of the accused, said they should be kept behind bars at Ibara Prisons pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Augustine Ozimini told the court that the accused committed the offences on Dec. 8 at about 10.09 p.m. at Isale Abetu in the Ogun capital.
He said the two accused robbed one Daniel Ogunseye of his motorcycle valued at N200,000 with a toy gun.
“The duo accosted Ogunseye at a deserted area and threatened to shoot him with the toy gun if he failed to surrender his motorcycle to them.’’
The offences, the prosecutor said, contravened Sections 1(2), (a) , and 6 (b) of the Armed Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Laws of Nigeria.
The magistrate adjourned the case to March 3 for mention.

As we welcome the year 2015, I have shared a message to Nigerians in general, but I find it crucial to send another message directly to Nigeria’s youth, who are the major stakeholders of this enterprise.
The year 2014 was a challenging one for most citizens of our dear country.
We remember our compatriots who were brutishly killed or maimed by evil terrorists in 2014.
I remember with a still broken heart that 219 of our children from Chibok are yet missing, let down by a country that should protect them.
I remember that, even as I speak, some of our towns and villages are yet under the occupation of Boko Haram.
Yes, it is enough for you to despair. It is enough for you to wonder if your country cares about you and can protect you. But do not despair.
2015 has arrived at a time of great discomfort; but the beauty of the New Year is that we can look forward with renewed hope and the knowledge that things can and will change.
In Nigeria’s case, we can truly look forward to the change that the elections can, and will, bring. Our country will be secure again. Our country will prosper again.
I have faith that 2015 is the year we shall begin to write a new story – a story of our youth creating jobs and expanding the frontiers of innovation and creativity everywhere from Mavin Records to the Co-Creation Hub; a story of genuine investment in our children and students be they in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka or in the Delta State University, Abraka; a country that finally makes a permanent shift from our debilitating dependence on the free-falling price of crude oil.
I have unshakeable faith that 2015 will be the year of change.
Now some of you have asked me: what exactly does ‘change’ mean?
I have taken time to explain this at different opportunities, but on this special day, let me remind you in five short statements.
Change means:
1. A country that you can be proud of at anytime and anywhere: where corruption is tackled, where your leaders are disciplined and lead with vision and clarity; where the stories that emerge to the world from us are full of hope and progress.
2. A Nigeria in which neither yourselves, nor your parents, families or friends will have to fear for your safety, or for theirs.
3. A Nigeria where citizens get the basics that any country should provide: infrastructure that works, healthcare that is affordable, even free; respect for the environment and sustainable development, education that is competitive and outcome-oriented in a knowledge-economy.
4. A country that provides jobs for its young people, reducing unemployment to the lowest of single digits and providing safety nets so that no one is left behind.
5. A Nigeria where entrepreneurship thrives, enterprise flourishes and the government gets out of your way so that you can create value, build the economy and aggressively expand wealth.
Are these things truly possible? Of course. That is the essence and outcome of leadership, and that is what my party and I promise you as we get into 2015.
My dear friends, this New Year, more than ever before, I am hopeful about Nigeria.
Yes, you are disappointed and you are angry, as you are entitled to, but you must never give in to the temptation to feel so weighed down by those who have failed you that you lose your hope and your energy and your passion to see change. You must never give up on Nigeria.
Together, we can build a nation that is secure, prosperous and gives everyone a fair chance.
This is the promise that 2015 holds. That is the promise that change will bring. That is the promise that I bring to you.
Once again, I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

A 12-year-old boy, Samson Egunje, has been accused of killing his friend, Samuel Igbekele (pictured above), in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.
The incident happened on Saturday on Omoboriowo Street.
Residents said the suspect, a primary six pupil, had been looking for the victim all day, saying he abused him in the morning and threatening that he would stab him in revenge.
Egunje was said to have stabbed Samuel with a bottle in the neck that evening while he (Samuel), a primary three pupil, ran errand for a neighbour.
After the attack, the victim reportedly held his neck as he ran across the road in a frantic effort to get to his parents’ house which was a few kilometres away.
Samuel, after taking some feeble steps, was said to have collapsed.
A resident, Ibrahim Sulaiman, said he saw him on the floor in a pool of blood that night.
He said, “I was under a tent where some people had had a wedding ceremony. I saw some kids playing with bottles and I drove them away.
“After I finished drinking with my friends, I went to a woman selling noodles and asked her to prepare some for me and that I would come back for it.
“While returning for my noodles, I saw the woman beaming a torch on the boy, and when I asked her who he was, she said she did not know him.”
The victim’s father, Solomon, a bricklayer, said his landlord’s son alerted him to the incident and he took him for medical treatment.
He explained that Samuel was about to eat his dinner on the fateful night when the neighbour sent him on an errand.
“It was not up to five minutes when my landlord’s son ran in and said my son had been stabbed with a bottle.
“I ran there and saw him on the floor. I took him to a nearby hospital and the nurses there did not want to accept him from us, but when the doctor came out and examined him, he certified him dead on arrival,” he said.
The victim’s mother, Mary, told our correspondent that she took Samuel’s corpse to the suspect’s mother’s house.
She said she laid him in front of the house for more than one hour because she momentarily lost her mind.
“Before Samuel died, I asked him who stabbed him and he kept saying ‘Samson, Samson’ before he went silent.
“I asked Samson why he killed my son, and he said Samuel abused him in the morning and he had promised to stab him.
“My son had just bought new clothes and shoes for the New Year celebration, but he can no longer wear them. They have taken away my joy.”
She said she suspected the suspect’s mother was trying to bury the case, adding that nothing would satisfy her than to see her son get justice.
Our correspondent learnt that the Ikotun Police Division had arrested Egunje and five other kids in the neighbourhood.
The corpse has been deposited at the Isolo hospital morgue.
PUNCH Metro visited the residence of the Egunjes and met some residents who initially were reluctant to speak about the incident.
After some banters with our correspondent, one of them, who did not identify herself said the suspect, who was in primary six, was not known for unruly behaviour.
She said, “We didn’t even know about the incident until the boy’s mother brought the corpse to the front of the house.
“Samson was well-behaved and when he has done something wrong, he will start crying and tell you what he has done. There were several kids with him that night and it is doubtful he killed the boy. Even the corpse showed there was just a small gash in his neck.”
It was learnt that the suspect’s parents were separated and he lived with his mother.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu confirmed the incident.
He said, “The matter is almost concluded and ready for transfer to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba. Five suspects have been arrested.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday said he did not expect Nigerians to shower praises on him while he is still in office.
He said it was normal that public office holders would only be commended after leaving office by the time his achievements were being compared with others.
Jonathan spoke while granting audience to a delegation from his home state, Bayelsa.
Members of the delegation led by Governor Seriake Dickson were in the Presidential Villa, Abuja to felicitate with him on Christmas and New Year festivities.
The President said notwithstanding the various challenges facing the country, he would do his best to make his people proud.
He said, “I always say that I will not even expect praises now because hardly do people praise serving leaders. It is when you leave, people will begin to know.
“When you leave, people will begin to compare what you have done over the period vis-a-vis what others have done, then they will compare you with whoever takes over.
“Probably that is the time some people will begin to say good about you. But I will do my best to make sure that we do change things.
“We are trying to create enabling environment for our economy to thrive irrespective of the challenges we are having in the petroleum sector and the security challenges we have.
“I will do my best so that by the time I will leave, you will be able to say that when our son was there, he served the country well so that one day, another son of Bayelsa may be given another opportunity to serve Nigerians.”
Jonathan observed that it has become the norm worldwide for people to be lambasting their leaders, especially on the social media.
He regretted that people are using different things that have been created by people’s knowledge for negative purposes.
He cited an example of dynamite, saying the inventor regretted when he realised the destructive purposes people have turned the item to.
The President added, “I assure you that I am here by the grace of God and with the willingness of Nigerians. If Nigerians say I shouldn’t be here, I wouldn’t have been here. We contested election in 2011 and Nigerians voted for us.
“I am your own, if I don’t do well, the shame will be on you. If I do well, you will have some kind of pride. I will do my best.

The oldest conjoined twins in the world living in Ohio, USA recently celebrated their 63rd birthday.
Ronnie and Donnie Galyon surpassed the world record for longest living conjoined twins and are yet to receive their official certificate from the Guinness World Records confirming they’re the longest-living conjoined twins in history.
The twins, who were born healthy in 1951, are joined at the waist and face each other. They have four arms and four legs and separate hearts and stomachs but share a lower digestive tract, a groin, a rectum and penis, over which Donnie has control.
According to Dailymail, ‘The twins were born healthy in October 1951 but stayed in the hospital for two years as doctors tried to figure out how to separate them. When experts said they could not guarantee both babies would survive an operation to part them, the parents said they would stay as they were.The boys did not go to school as teachers asked them to leave because they were too distracting to the other students. From the age of 4 to 39, they supported their family by performing in carnival sideshows in the U.S. and circuses throughout Central and South America. The twins live with their younger brother, Jim.’

As from first of January 2015, prices of imported used cars otherwise known as Tokunbo or second-hand cars are expected to go up as the second phase of the national automotive policy which was announced in November 2013, will commence.
Car dealers would be expected to pay the federal government 70% duty on all imported cars. FG had in 2013 introduced the national automotive policy with the view of encouraging local assemblage of automobiles in Nigeria, increasing the import tariff from 22% to 70%. The first phase of the policy involving the payment of 35% duty came into effect in February 2014 while the second phase which would have started in July this year was postponed to Jan. 2015.

The 22-year old singer – who dated the ‘As Long As You Love Me’ hitmaker on and off for the past three years – is reportedly fed up of people linking her to the 20-year old pop star.
A source explained: ‘Hearing that she is with Justin and should be with Justin or shouldn’t be with Justin is exhausting.
‘She always reads about herself and Googles herself and she hates being known as Justin’s girlfriend or not his girlfriend.
‘She wants to be known in her eyes and to others as Selena Gomez.’
The ‘Come And Get It’ hitmaker – who is currently enjoying a holiday with models, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid – is struggling with the public split from her ex and is getting support from her family.

Indonesian search officials have now confirmed they have located the fuselage of AirAsia flight 8501 on sonar radar, upside down on the sea floor, not far from where three of the bodies from the doomed AirAsia flight were found holding hands when discovered floating in the Java Sea. Officials from Basarnas, Indonesia’s search and rescue agency, say the plane wreckage has been located in 24 to 30 metres of water and one of the seven confirmed recovered bodies was wearing a life jacket.
Lieutenant Airman Tri Wobowo, who was co-piloting Indonesia’s C130 Herclues aircraft, was the first to discover debris from the plane and witnessed the tragic scene.
‘There were seven to eight people. Three of them held hands,’ he told a local newspaper.
A plane door, a blue suitcase, oxygen tank and the remnants of an emergency slide were among the objects found about 10km from where the plane was last detected on radar. But the most harrowing discoveries were the corpses floating in the Java Sea – about 100 miles off the coast – and search chiefs fully expect none of the 162 passengers and crew on board made it out of the wreckage alive.
Family members who have been at the airport since the crash happened on Sunday December 28th, are expected to come forward to identify the remains of their loved ones.
