Mathew Knowles Explains Why He’s Selling Beyoncé’s Memorabilia

Papa Knowles is making it very clear that he is not selling Beyoncé‘s Memorabilia for money.

Mathew Knowles, the father of the songstress, got a lot of buzz – maybe not so positive -, for his decision to hold a garage sale outside his Music World Entertainment Complex in Houston, Texas.

He sold boxes of Beyoncé, her sister Solange Knowles, as well as Destiny’s Child‘s memorabilia. He explained to a reporter at KPRC that his decision to sell isn’t to make money.

“If I needed money, I wouldn’t sell $5 T-shirts. I’d sell a Grammy or an MTV award. So that is insulting to think we need to sell $5 T-shirts. No, I don’t think so,” he said.
