Jordin Sparks isn’t ready to start dating again.
The ‘No Air’ hitmaker, who split from Jason Derulo in September after three years of dating , says she doesn’t have time for a casual romance, but insists she’s in the best place she’s been in years.
The 25-year-old star said: ‘I’m pretty much dating myself, who am I kidding?! I’m not ready to deal with all that. I don’t have time for distractions or people who are going to waste my time. But I’m in a really good place. Mentally, physically, spiritually – I’m in the best place I’ve been in years!’
The former ‘American Idol’ contestant has ruled out online dating in the future.
Asked if she would consider joining the dating app Tinder, she told PEOPLE.com: ‘Oh my gosh, never in a million years! If you see a profile on there, it’s not me.’
But Jordin is open to meeting a man via Twitter.
She said: ‘I’m a big football fan, so if I tweet about a football player, everybody assumes we’re dating! I guess for somebody in my position, something like Twitter is kind of like an online dating site. Not that I’m doing that! But when it comes, I could try it…
The ‘Sparkle’ star doesn’t have a type, but wants a man with ‘a good job.’
She said: ‘As long as you’re a good man who respects me, it doesn’t take much.
‘I’m pretty much equal-opportunity: black, white, brown, yellow, I don’t care. As long as you’ve got a good job, it really doesn’t matter what you do. You can do construction, you can play sports, you can be a musician…’
