Gunmen suspected to be members of dreaded Boko Haram terrorists Wednesday waylaid motorists in Madari village of Kukawa local government area of Borno state, killing 10 people, while a young aged woman and her two years old child were abducted.
A driver who fled from the scene, Mallam Abor Modu said they were coming back from cross Kawa on Monday at about 2:30 Pm when the terrorists’ appeared in about 10 vehicles including an LX 470 jeep and opened fire on Motorists plying the Maiduguri- Baga road in a village called Madari.
He said “I had to stop with five of my passengers when I saw a Chadian resembling Boko Haram terrorist in a Hilux Vehicle mounted with Multi Purpose Machine gun opening fire sporadically on any vehicle he came across”.
