Meet The Highest Paid Actors In Hollywood (Top Ten List)

According to a Forbes list, Robert Downey Jr has been named the highest paid Hollywood actor for the second year running, after earning $75 million in the past year.

His position was largely influenced by his lead role in Iron Man 3, which grossed almost $1.2 billion at the global box office.

Forbes said his major role in the Marvel movie is important to the longevity of the franchise, saying “it would be incredibly difficult for Marvel to continue to make Iron Man and Avengers films without him”.

Dwayne Johnson, better known as ‘The Rock’, was named the second highest paid actor in Hollywood, after pulling in $52 million last year following his role in ‘Fast and Furious.

Hangover star, Bradley Cooper came third place on the Forbes list, after earning $46 million last year from hit movies, ‘The Hangover’ franchise and ‘American Hustle’.

Leonardo DiCaprio was fourth on the list with estimated earnings of $39 million from his role in ‘The Great Gatsby’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ which pulled in a combined $743 million at the global box office.

Rounding up the top ten list are Chris Hemsworth – $37 million, Liam Neeson – $36 million, Ben Affleck – $35 million, Christian Bale – $35 million, Will Smith – $32 million and Mark Wahlberg – $32 million.
