Greece and Japan settled for one point each in their second match of the World Cup tournament.

The match, played on Thusday, June 19, 2014, at the Estadio das Dunas, Natal, saw both teams ending with a goalless draw. ‎

Despite strong possession of the ball, Japan were unable to strike ahead of Greek goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis, who made spectacular saves for the national team.

Greece captain Konstantinos Katsouranis was sent off in the first forty five minutes of the game, having picked up two quick yellow cards for some reckless challenges, prompting the Greek side to a defensive game in order to seal a goalless draw.

Greece will face Ivory Coast, while Japan will face Colombia in their final group stage matches, with limited chances of qualifying for the next round.
