The repertory production company, Live Theatre on Sunday, will be staging two of Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka‘s plays ahead of his 80th birthday.
The plays, The Trials of Brother Jero and Jero Metamorphosis will be showed on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the New Unity Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
Written by Soyinka in 1964 and 1966 respectively, the plays satirize religious hypocrisy and the unquestioning devotion that many converts display towards their spiritual leaders, leaving themselves open to manipulation.
The plays are directed by Adebola Ogunshina and produced by Adenugba Oluwanishola.
