Popular political commentator and social media activist, Japheth Omojuwa, has shared some strong views on Nigeria’s health sector on the MTV Base #ChooseOrLose roundtable.

During the recent event held at the 355 Lounge in Victoria Island, Lagos, the blogger, who was a panellist at the event, stated that more attention needs to be paid to the healthcare sector in Nigeria.

‘A lot more attention needs to be paid to the healthcare sector so as to reduce child mortality in the country. This is an important sector that has been largely neglected over the years,’ he said.

Japheth Omojuwa, who is known as a firebrand activist with a strong social media presence, has been a regular and vocal critic of government policy toward healthcare provisions and he made specific mention of maternal healthcare more than once.

The #ChooseOrLose Roundtable is a forum which promotes the participation of young people in the electoral process in Nigeria.
