Nick Cannon hopes he and Mariah Carey can both ‘move forward’ in 2015.

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ host, who separated from the 44-year-old singer over the summer after six-years of marriage, insists he will ‘never say anything negative’ about the ‘#Beautiful’ hitmaker, following speculation he is planning to write a ‘diss album’ about his estranged wife.

Slamming the rumours on Twitter, he wrote: ‘I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey We are forever a family rooted in love.

‘I am always an open book but Personal matters are just that ‘Personal.’ So please respect my family and respect the process.’

He later added: ‘I have no problem being painted as the bad guy. I got tough skin. Keep going! I just pray we ALL can move forward in the new year.’

A source close to Mariah – who broke down in tears while performing in New York City earlier this month – recently admitted she is still devastated over her split from Nick, and isn’t ready to ‘give up the idea of a happy family.’
