The island is off the northwest coast of Palawan province and surrounded by the South China Sea. It is replete with native tropical plants and fruit trees, including coconut, papaya and lime, with a four-bedroom, two-level home sitting on the private Dinisonan Island filled with tropical fruit trees and surrounded by coral reefs in the province of Palawan in the Philippines.

Owners Gary Boyer, an American piping designer, and his wife Soledad, purchased the 2½-acre island in 1993. A local hardwood sourced from Palawan is used throughout the 3,200-square-foot home. It is featured in many fixtures and fittings, including the staircase, window frames and the building’s facade.

The owners are selling the home because they would like to focus on farming at their other property on Palawan Island. Mrs. Boyer says the island will suit ‘people who like the quiet and being away from the fast lane.’

The home’s power is supplied by 16 solar panels, that means about five days of power without running a generator. However, water is not problem, they piped it from the mainland [Palawan Island] and do have a large storage tank on the island.

The home was first put on the market July. It is listed with Philippine Sotheby’s International Realty for $1 million. The furnishings are included in the sale price.
