Different people respond to hard times in different ways but for most people, the easy route of compromise is always the choice.

That is the path rapper and one of Nigeria’s true hip-hop pioneers, Eedris Abdulkareem, has apparently taken.

Since falling out favour some years ago, mainly through series of his rash manners and the dynamics of the industry, Eedris has made several efforts to hit the limelights again but they have not yielded the desired results.

Running out of options really, the Kano-bred rapper whose 2004 altercation with American rapper, 50 Cent, would continue to haunt him, has turned a government apologist.

Announcing that he is ready with a new album, the Kennis Music returnee, has said he is dedicating the album to President Goodluck Jonathan for, according to him, the several facets of transformation going on in the country.

It would be recalled that Eedris was one of the fiercest critics of government when he enjoyed attention and recognition of Nigerians as a top music artiste in Nigeria typified by his popular single, ‘Jagajaga.’ His continued feud with a former president Olusegun Obasanjo is well documented.
