Clarion Chukwura has told NET that there is no truth to the story that she only recently joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria as alleged by the President of the guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima in her open letter.
During an exclusive interview held at her Omole Phase 1 residence, she told our correspondent that her membership of the guild dates back to its formative years and she claimed to have been part of the team that endorsed the guild’s first president, Zack Orji.
She further, in strong terms, called for the resignation of Fiberesima on the basis that she is an ex-convict, as stipulated in the constitution. According to her, Ibinabo’s position as the guild’s president is a misrepresentation of the interest of the likes of Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Pete Edochie and other well meaning actors.
Chukwura has been at loggerheads with Fiberisima since she announced her intention to run for the guild’s presidency.
