Jamaican dance-hall artiste, Vybz Kartel has been found guilty of murder by an eleven-member jury at the Supreme Court in Kingston, Jamaica.
However, Kartel’s attorneys insist that the case is a conspiracy by the local police to frame their client, claiming that the authority has failed to present any evidence linking their accused client to the murder.
The trial which lasted for 65 days in total became the longest-running criminal case in the history of Jamaica’s court system.
His sentencing will take place on March 27, but in the meantime, his lawyers plan to appeal the verdict.
